Specializing in a wide variety of styles including classical, jazz, and funk, Bren is a disciple of the double bass, and has performed all over the United States and Europe. A natural jazz player, gifted improviser, and thoughtful composer, Bren has recently undergone a period of intense study in jazz and classical technique on the double bass and is now pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts Degree in String Performance while maintaining a vigorous performance schedule.

Jim Parsons is a Seattle native who has performed in a variety of settings including improvisational music, piano jazz trio/quartet/nonet, studio recording, top 40/covers, original projects, country, and western swing, as well as many professional musical theatre productions.

He is currently freelancing in a variety of projects. My recent performance experience includes the Pop Logic, the Riffbrokers, Ghost Lobby, Jonathan Rooke, Karin Blaine, Jonathan Harris, and the Nate Omdal Nonet. I've recently recorded with vocalist Joni Wilm, singer/songwriter Phillip 'Shiny' Johnson, the Nate Omdal Nonet and pianist/composer Michael Owcharuk. I have drum teched at studios throughout Seattle such as London Bridge, Fastback, Soundhouse, Orbit Audio and Attercop for clients such as the Blakes, the Lonely H, Broadcast Debut (Jon Auer producer) and Ice Age Cobra among others. Also, I provide percussion, snare/drum rentals, tuning and other tech services at affordable rates and can help you achieve a great drum sound, as I've also built custom drums for Nickeldrumworks.

Additionally he teaches private drum/percussion lessons for all ages and levels of experience.
