Rendevous

Rendezvous

Rendezvous plays upbeat Jazz tunes contrasted by dreamy ballads, colorful Balkan and Celtic melodies, sections of Classical, Rock, Funk, African Pop, Latin, and Tango. It’s all there, often with elements from several styles mixed up in the same song. From Gypsy Jazz to Hip Hop with detours into pretty much everything else, Rendezvous is exploring what can be done with the violin/acoustic guitar duo format. Bass lines performed on violin and percussion performed on guitar, the two instruments effortlessly alternating between the roles of soloist/improviser and rhythm section, creating ample variation in texture on the way.
